It takes less recovery time and causes less discomfort than you can imagine. Ready for Lasik Preparation before Eye Examination 1. The soft contact lenses should be removed at least 3 days, and the hard or rigid gas permeable lenses should be removed at least 7 days prior to and eye examination. 2. It is advisable to bring a friend or relative along to drive your home after the eye examination as the pupil will be dilated, causing blurred vision and light sensitivity. A sunglasses is also recommended. 3. Arrive at Advanced LASIK CENTER 10-15 minutes before the appointment. The eye examination process takes about 2-3 hours.
Preoperative Preparation 1. The soft contact lenses should be removed at least 3 days, and the hard or rigid gas permeable lenses should be removed at least 7 days prior to surgery. 2. Arrive at Advanced LASIK CENTER 15 minutes before your appointment. 3. Please give the result of your blood test to the receptionist upon arrival at Advanced LASIK CENTER. 4. Do not use any perfume of spray. 5. Prepare to have someone drive you homeas your eyes will be covered after the operation, or arrange forr an overnight stay at the hospital for your convenience.
Postoperative Side-effects In the first day after the operation, you may have the following signs and symptoms : - Lots of tearing - An irritation like sand in your eyes - Mild pain, which can be treated with oral analgesic medicine. - Light sensitivity The next day after the operation, you may have the following signs and symptomes: - Red eyes, it will go away in about 1-2 weeks - Burning sensation and light sensitiveness - Reading difficulty in the first few weeks
Postoperative Care 1. Avoid rubbing or squeezing the eyes 2. Do not let any waterr or dust get into your eyes for the first week 3. Use eye shield before sleeping to keep the eyes protected from rubbing nightly for the first week 4.
